Clovis NM - Norman Petty Recording Studios
Hans Wessels aus den Niederlanden machte sich einen Traum wahr :
Im Jahr 2009 besuchte er in den USA alle mit Buddy Holly untrennbar
verbundenen Orte wie Clear Lake, Clovis, Mason City und Lubbock.
Seine Fotos kann man den Fans einfach nicht vorenthalten, daher
habe ich Hans gebeten, mir alles für meine Buddy Holly Fanseite
zwecks Veröffentlichung zur Verfügung zu stellen.

Ein Draht - Rekorder der Firma WEBSTER aus Chicago
Eine absolute Rarität. So gibt es z.B. in der Schweiz nur noch einen
funktionsfähigen Drahtrekorder von dieser Firma, er steht in der
Landesphonothek in Lugano.
Von der Firma UNIVOX: Eine elektrische Orgel - Norman Petty Recording Studios Clovis NM
Der Engländer Tom Jennings entwickelte diese Orgel, die Weltruhm
erlangte. Auch die Tornados spielten mit einem seiner Instrumente.

Erst habe ich gedacht, dass ganz rechts auf dem Bild ein Ofen steht, in Wirklichkeit ist das aber ein wahnsinnig teures Stück Tontechnik: Ein LESLIE ROTATING SPEAKER.
Erklärung von Wikipedia, was das "braune Ding" rechts auf dem Foto wirklich ist:
Ein Leslie-Lautsprecher (Leslie speaker; auch als Rotationslautsprecher,
Leslie-Tonkabinett, Leslie-Box oder kurz Leslie bekannt) ist ein Effektgerät
zur elektroakustischen Klangveränderung musikalischer Tonsignale, in dem mithilfe
eines durch Rotation ausgelösten Doppler-Effekts Schwebungen erzeugt werden.
Benannt ist das Leslie nach seinem Erfinder DONALD LESLIE (1911–2004).
