Hans Wessels, holländischer Fan von Buddy Holly & The Crickets, hat sich einen lebenslangen Traum erfüllt: Im April 2009 bereiste er viele US - Orte, die mit dem Namen Buddy Holly eng verknüpft sind und machte dabei tolle Fotos.
Hier geht es nun immer noch weiter mit noch mehr Fotos aus Buddy's Heimatstadt Lubbock TX, wo er nach seinem tragischen Tod begraben wurde.

Grundstein gelegt für die Crickets und ihren Riesenhit "That'll Be The Day".
Rock and Roll Great & Lubbock Native Buddy Holly played here with various musicians as the house band. Here, he refined his rhythm techniques and tested his songs. On February 25, 1957, Holly joined Jerry Allison, Niki Sullivan, and Larry Welborn (and later Joe B. Mauldin) to form the Crickets and record "THAT'LL BE THE DAY", which launched Holly's brief but meteoric career.
