I come from Holland, or the 'Netherlands', the village is Zundert. I'm a fan of Buddy since 1963, the year when I heard 'Brown eyed handsome man' for the first time. Shortly after that I heard 'Oh Boy' and 'Rave On' on the radio. I was looking for a picture of the singer and I heard for the first time that he was killed in a plane crash. That made me start to collect everything what I could find from Buddy.
I was member of the first Buddy Holly Fan Club in Holland in 1964. Now I've got LP's, CD's, photos, books etc. My last book came from Roddy Jordan from Australia. When I thought I had all Buddy songs in my collection, I started to collect cover songs.
We all know the LP's by Bobby Vee, Tommy Allsup, the Dutch group Pilot, Danny Lane, Raw, The Blue Things and many more. Then came the P.C. and I found a lot of cover songs to buy and download, but also many singles on vinyl markets.
That was a little bit about myself. I like it very much that we are interested in the same music and to make new friends.

Jac Jacobs ist 63 Jahre alt (Stand: Dezember 2008) und lebt in Zundert in den Niederlanden. Seit 1963 ist er Buddy Holly Fan, als er den Titel "Brown Eyed Handsome Man" in der Interpretation von Buddy erstmals hörte. Kurz darauf kamen dann die Songs "Oh Boy" und "Rave On" dazu und Jac suchte nach einem Bild des Sängers. Dabei erfuhr er von dessen Tod durch einen Flugzeugabsturz. Ab diesem Moment fing Jac an, alles zu sammeln, was es von Buddy Holly zu finden gab.
Er wurde Mitglied des ersten Buddy Holly Fan Clubs in Holland im Jahr 1964. Jetzt hat er LP's, CD's, Fotos, Bücher etc. Das neueste Stück in seiner Sammlung (Stand Dezember 2008) ist das Buch von Roddy Jordan aus Australien.
Irgendwann kam der Punkt, wo Jac meinte, er habe alle Songs von Buddy. Ab da fing er an, Cover Songs zu sammeln. Wir kennen alle die LP's von Bobby Vee, Tommy Allsup, der holländischen Gruppe Pilot, Danny Lane, Raw, The Blue Things und viele Andere. Dann schaffte sich Jac einen PC an und er fand viele Cover Songs zum kaufen und downloaden, aber auch viele Singles auf Vinylmärkten.
Dies war ein wenig über Jac. Er findet es sehr schön, dass wir beide an der
gleichen Musik interessiert sind und freut sich, neue Freunde zu finden.
Jacky Valentin war ein Rocksänger aus Belgien, dem man
nachsagte, der "französischste" belgische Rocker zu sein.
